“Dr. Will” grew up in Inglewood, California, and graduated from Morningside High School in 1984 before matriculating to Tuskegee University (4th generation) for both undergraduate and veterinary medical studies. He was accepted to veterinary school after only 3 years of undergraduate studies; and after receiving his DVM in 1991, he continued his training at North Rockville Veterinary Hospital in Rockville, Maryland before moving to Atlanta in 1992.
He loves music (big Dave Matthews Band fan), movies, painting with acrylics, and enjoying family activities. His favorite veterinary interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and surgery. He married his classmate, Dr. Françoise Tyler, in September, 1993. They have 4 children; son David (9/97) and daughters Tyler (5/99), Gabrielle (11/01), and Olivia (7/03). They also have 5 dogs (Max, Frank, Louie, Satchmo, and Eta James) and 2 cats (Zig-Zag and Charlemagne).
Dr. Will has served as the featured veterinarian on WebMD's web series, "Ask The Veterinarian”, and serves as a veterinary expert in WebMD magazine. He received the Purina ProPlan 2013 National "Veterinarian of the Year", and has been honored as one of Atlanta's "Best Vets" in Atlanta Magazine consistently since 2001, and was selected as a FIVE STAR veterinarian in that same publication- an honor bestowed to only 7% of the veterinarians in the metro Atlanta area.

Dr. Lothridge, originally from Athens, GA, did her undergraduate studies at University of Georgia before graduating in 2009 from Colorado State University's veterinary school. She now lives in Decatur's Oakhurst neighborhood with her husband, Britt and their daughter, Anna (5/09) and son, Jacob (11/10). In her spare time, Dr. Lothridge enjoys yoga, reading, sewing and spending time outdoors - “especially at the beach.”

Raised on Long Island, NY, Dr. Finke received both her Bachelor's degree in 1995 and her DVM in 1999 from the University of Georgia.
Having previously worked at a practice in Woodstock for 6 years, she loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in surgery.
Dr. Finke's hobbies include traveling and horseback riding. She has a horse - Kahlua, two cats - Frankie and Vinny, and a rescued French bulldog - Moxie.

Dr. Amanda Slider received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University. In 2009 she graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Slider has a special interest in emergency, critical care, feline, and shelter medicine. Her hobbies include scuba diving, water sports, traveling, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband Chris, their daughter Leah (12/2013), as well as her seven nieces and nephews. They have two energetic orange tabby cats, Zeke and Kiah.

Dr. Stacy grew up in Stockbridge, GA before attending the University of Georgia for both undergraduate and veterinary studies. She received her DVM in 2003. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, cruciate repair and infectious diseases.
Born Stacy Poulos, she married Chad Stacy, an architect, in August 2003. They reside in Decatur with their daughter Ella, and son Ethan, along with their two cats, Crawford and Annabel Lee and their dog, Elouise – a French bulldog..
Her personal interests include exercise, gardening, home renovation, cooking and socializing with friends.

Originally from Manchester, England, Dr. Calcutt received his DVM from St. George’s University, Grenada in 2008. Following two successful years working at an animal hospital in Chicago, he and his family moved to Decatur in 2010 so that his wife Sarah could pursue her career at Emory University.
Dr. Calcutt has travelled extensively enjoying many aspects of veterinary medicine - from darting lions in Uganda, to rehabilitating orangutans in Borneo. It was during his time in Africa where he was studying Great White Sharks that he met his wife, Sarah.
His personal interests include flying, scuba diving, soccer – especially watching Manchester United, lazy walks with his two Labradoodles Ella and Tusker, and spending quality time with his son Greyson (5/10).
Dr. Calcutt is excited to be a member of the team at The Village Vets, and looks forward to building many wonderful relationships as he follows his passion for small animal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Streithof received her bachelor's degree at The University of Virginia and enjoyed a career as a graphic designer for several years before attending University of Georgia Veterinary School of Medicine. She completed a small animal internship at Oklahoma State University in 2002 and has been an emergency and critical care clinician since then. Dr. Streithof says she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, "Annie" and "Gracie", three cats, "Fiona", "Wallace" and "Boots", and her fiancé, Michael.

Dr. Alycia Cullen was born in Providence, RI, but spent her childhood split between Paris, France, and Lawrenceville, GA. In 2008, she graduated with her bachelor's degree in environmental biology from Columbia University. She attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated with honors in 2012. She spent two years in general practice in southwest Virginia, and returned to Atlanta in 2014 to join The Village Vets team.
Dr. Cullen's special interests include emergency medicine and surgery. Her hobbies include singing, quilting, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, and reading. She lives in Decatur with her husband Ralph, their son Everett (10/14), and her dog, Dakota.

Dr. Kari Addante is a Gwinnett County native. Growing up in the once rural area of Grayson, animals were always among her best friends. Combined with a strong affinity for the sciences, her quest to learn all about them culminated in her graduating magna cum laude from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She was also inducted into the Phi Zeta National Veterinary Honor Society. Prior to attending UGA, Dr. Addante worked for over 15 years as a veterinary technician and hospital manager.
Dr. Addante loves her job as a veterinarian and is especially interested in internal medicine. She also has a special place in her heart for felines and their unique needs.
Currently, Dr. Addante and her husband Powell reside in Lawrenceville with their cats Harvey, Stella, Samantha, and Ralph. Their newest addition to the family is an orange-citrus phase hypomelanistic bearded dragon named Oscar.

Dr. Franco is an Atlanta native, and after graduating from Woodward Academy, matriculated to the University of Pennsylvania where she received her undergraduate degree. She received her DVM from the University of Georgia in 2006. She joined The Village Vets of Decatur in June 2008.
Janine and her husband, Alan, live in Decatur with their daughter, Eden (11/08), son, Lewis (4/11), cats Riesling and Brown Guy, and their dog, Alfie.
Dr. Franco is conversant in Spanish, and is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Doss attended North Georgia College prior to moving to the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine; where she graduated in 1998. Prior to joining The Village Vets, she worked at practices in Grayson, Covington and Loganville.
Dr. Doss enjoys both small animal and emergency medicine. Dr. Doss and her husband, Joe, live in Oxford with their two daughters, McKayla and Katie, and their three dogs Bubba Gump, Lula, and Tramp. When not working, Dr. Doss can usually be found on the softball field with her girls.

Dr. Prather is originally from Orlando, Florida. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Chemistry minor. In 2003, Dr. Prather graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts. Following graduation she worked in emergency medicine for 2 years. She has been practicing in the Decatur area since.
She and her husband, Donald, live in Oakhurst with their three children - sons, Connor (8/06), Nicholas (6/08) and daughter, Katherine (1/11). They also have two dogs – Ginger and Jessie and one cat – Mia.
Dr. Prather enjoys spending time with her family, as well as reading and photography. Her special interests in veterinary medicine includes surgery, emergency care and working with shelter and rescue pets.

Dr. Christopher Simmons is a 2014 graduate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and is the son of a veterinarian, Dr. Ken Simmons, from West Palm Beach, FL. He is a compassionate person who loves to interact with his clients. Outside of veterinary medicine, he, his wife Amanda, and their goofy labradoodle “Bennie” are avid supporters of Florida Gator athletics. He also enjoys playing recreational basketball. His professional interests include ultrasonography, clinical pathology, and neurology.

"Dr. Fran" Tyler is an Atlanta native and is a 1984 Woodward Academy graduate. She attended the University of Georgia (UGA) prior to attending Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine. She was accepted to Tuskegee after only 3 years of undergraduate studies at UGA. After graduating from Tuskegee in 1991, she completed a small animal internship at UGA, and then returned to Atlanta where she's been practicing ever since. She loves dermatology, internal medicine, and exotic animal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to jazz, and taking long walks with her family.

Dr. Brandi Flanagan grew up in Macon, Georgia and attended Georgia Tech for her undergraduate studies. Before pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Flanagan worked as an architect designing homes in the Atlanta area. Her love for animals and passion for science however is what lead her to change her career. She attended University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with highest honors and is a member of the Phi Zeta National Veterinary Honor Society. Dr. Flanagan loves helping animals feel better and live longer, healthier lives. Her special interests include ultrasound, surgery and oncology. Dr. Samantha Roberts grew up on a sheep farm in the small town of Purcellville, Virginia. She moved to Atlanta in 2004 and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography in 2007. She later attended Georgia Tech for her pre-vet undergraduate studies, where she also started Tech’s Pre-Vet Club. Dr. Roberts graduated magna cum laude from University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Her veterinary interests include clinical pathology, radiology, and dermatology.
Dr. Roberts lives in Chamblee with her husband Dan, daughter Olivia (2/16), and dog Rook, an English Shepherd. Her personal interests include running, art, photography, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Carrie McColgan grew up in Memphis, TN, and graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, NC in 1995. She received her DVM from the University of Georgia in 2003. In addition to medicine and surgery, her interests include international veterinary medicine and welfare issues of working animals in developing countries.

Dr. Amy Mathews grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Tennessee's Veterinary School in 1986. Dr. Mathews has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Buckhead area since 1989.
She and her husband Clay live outside of Atlanta with Petunia, a Pit Bull Terrier rescued from Hurricane Katrina; Mr. B, a small mixed breed dog adopted from Atlanta Pet Rescue; a cat called Raisin; and an African Grey Parrot named Mac.
Dr. Mathews says she loves living in the country, bike riding, being outside with her dogs and reading.

Dr. Nargund grew up in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She completed a 7-year joint undergraduate and veterinary medicine program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Tufts University. She also received her Master’s degree in Public Health during vet school. Upon graduation in 2003, she moved to Atlanta to do a fellowship at the CDC in the Foodborne Diseases division. She has practiced veterinary medicine since 2004.
Her special interests in veterinary medicine are nutrition, gastroenterology, and geriatrics. Her interests outside of work are cooking and traveling. Dr. Nargund and her husband, Ratish, live in Alpharetta with their two sons and mixed breed dog named Duke Anderson.

Dr. Laura Hooper was born and raised in Lexington, SC. After graduating from high school in 1998, she completed her undergraduate degree in animal and veterinary sciences at Clemson University. She then attended Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2007. Following veterinary school she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University. She has been practicing in the Chamblee-Dunwoody area since 2008. Dr. Alissa Stephens grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University where she received a bachelor’s degree in biology. Following graduation in 2008, Dr. Stephens moved to Atlanta to complete an internship at Zoo Atlanta during which time she also worked as a veterinary assistant. She began vet school in 2011 at University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. During her four years there she worked as a veterinary assistant at TVV Buckhead during summer and Thanksgiving/Christmas breaks. Dr. Stephens received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2015. Her special interest includes general surgery.
Dr. Stephens and her husband, Chris, got married about the same time she was graduating vet school – May 2015. They live in Canton with their five rescue dogs: Stitch, Maggie, Virginia, Madison, and Captain Jack. In her spare time, her hobbies are food and traveling.

Dr. Jenkins is a Georgia native, growing up in a small town just south of Savannah. She received her undergraduate degree at Armstrong Atlantic State University, where she received a bachelor degree in Biology. Following its completion, she went on to receive her DVM at the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Prior to joining The Village Vets in 2013, Dr. Jenkins worked for a small animal practice in Myrtle Beach. She holds a special interest in dentistry and internal medicine.
Dr. Jenkins currently resides in Smyrna, where she lives with Chocolate Chip, a pug, and a three-legged cat, named Horatio. In her spare time, Dr. Jenkins enjoys nature walks, hiking, creating new recipes, and watching sports.
