Kamali Surin was born in Maplewood, NJ and raised in Cary, NC, where she lived with her sister Kezia, her parents, and yellow lab named Bina. In high school Kamali played soccer and was an active member of the student council. After graduating she joined AmeriCorps and built houses for Hurricane Katrina victims along the gulf coast before attending the University of North Carolina. She now calls Atlanta home and  spends her free time with local pet rescues, outside of taking classes toward becoming a certified veterinary technician. Kamali loves spending time with her Boston Terrier who is named Toussaint and traveling outside the country.
